Johanna started Larch Row Studio in 2014 from a back room on Hillgrove Avenue, after redesigning her own 1920s kitchen in Western Springs. She designs every project herself and runs every meeting at the sample table.

Tomas prices every design-build project as it is drawn, hires and schedules the trades, and is on site most days. He sends the Friday photo.
How the studio works
Every meeting happens at the sample table in the studio or in your house. Tile, wood, paint and fabric are in your hands before they go in the drawings.
Johanna draws every project. On design-build work Tomas prices each drawing set as it develops, so the design and the budget move together and the construction price is fixed before demolition.
Most clients live within fifteen minutes of the studio: Western Springs, Hinsdale, La Grange, Clarendon Hills, Burr Ridge and Riverside.
